About the Author

Jeannine Van Eperen is the author of fifteen published books with more on the way. Her novel Memory and Desire received the FAR-Award in 2005. She is the daughter of Henry and Mildred Tyrack and was born in Beloit, Wisconsin. Jeannine attended schools in Chicago and Albuquerque, and spent most of her life in New Mexico. She and husband, Lou, currently reside in Combined Locks, Wisconsin. Lou and Jeannine love to travel and have been to all fifty of the United States and Puerto Rico, most Canadian provinces, and more than twenty-five foreign countries. Both are pilots and, for a time, traveled in their Cessna. Jeannine discovered the Texas Hill Country as described in this book while working as a motel manager in Texas. She has also worked in the banking and insurance industries as well as being the Director of Publicity for the University of Albuquerque.
