Leslie Billig began her career as a puzzle editor at Dell Magazines. She has since worked for numerous publishers creating, editing, proofreading, and fact-checking puzzles, including The New York Times, the New York Sun, the Wall Street Journal, New York Newsday, Games magazine, Sterling Publishing, Random House/Times Books, People, Modern Maturity, Readers Digest, Book of the Month Club, and the American Crossword Federation. Billig has been an editor of The Uptown Puzzle Club and Dell Crosswords since 2001. She wrote and researched questions for the television game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Billigs book Sit & Solve Cryptograms was published by Sterling in March 2002.
