Alfonso Lopez Michelsen was the president of Colombia between 1974 and 1978, and has been a journalist and contributor to Colombian publications such as "El Liberal," "La Revista de Indias, " and "El Tiempo" throughout his extensive political career. He is the author of "The Calvinist Lineage of our Political Institutions," "Colombia at Ground Zero," ""and "Liberalism in the 1980s."
