November 2014 If you know of the Love to Sew series of books you'll
know what fantastic quality they are. The book is jam packed full
of beautiful designs for every level of sewer. The vintage-style is
amazingly beautiful. It's just so elegant. There are so many
different items you'll love and they can bring the style to each
room in your house. This beautiful basket could be used anywhere
around your house. Even this glimpse of the items available in this
book gives you a hint at the different beautiful items you could
make. I think they would also make the most beautiful gifts for
friends or family. Or if you know someone that loves to sew why not
buy the book for Christmas for them The instructions are really
easy to follow. They are clear and easy to understand. With
projects for all levels I would highly recommend this book. If you
love the vintage-style you'll love this book.

February 2015 This is a whimsical collection that provides exactly
what it says on the cover. Christa Rolf's lifelong love of fabrics
and lace is evident in the love with which she's constructed and
presented these projects. There are some practical yet beautiful
items to craft, such as pincushions, pinboards and placemats, and
others which are purely decorative such as a delightful patterned
'cake' and a chain of hearts that would brighten up any 'shabby
chic' mantelpiece. There's a simple but very refined looking yp-yo
quilt pattern that will be of particular interest to Popular
Patchwork readers, and whilst making that it would be a good idea
to go for the matching filled pillow design too. The projects are
all graded 'Quick and easy' 'Requires a little practise' and 'More
challenging', but we can't spot anything that would be too tricky
with patience. If lovely pastel pinks and blues are appealing to
you, you won't be able to resist this book.
