Mario Liverani teaches the History of the Ancient Near East at the University of Rome 'La Sapienz'. He is Lincei Academic and honorary member of the American Oriental Society. He is the coordinator of the archaeological expedition in the Acacus (Libyan Sahara). He has published Ancient Orient (1991), War and Diplomacy in the Ancient Orient (1994), and Myth and Politics in Ancient Near Eastern Historiography (2004, Equinox). Equinox has also translated into English Israel's History and the History of Israel (2005). Zainab Bahrani is Edith Porada Associate Professor of Ancient Near Eastern Art in the Department of Art History and Archaeology at Columbia University. Marc Van De Mieroop is Professor of Ancient Near Eastern Studies in the Departments of History and Middle East and Asian Languages and Cultures at Columbia University.
