I have used this book of Mike's at school to teach ukulele. I adopted his dot system. A perfect beginner's book.

This uke book by Mike Jackson teaches simple uke chords starting with C F and G7. The introduction gives a simple intro to the ukulele. His color coded dot system for locating chords is terrific for beginner ukulele players. Have used this resource with early years classes and they LOVE it! They enjoy singing along and trying different strumming techniques.
