"Sharon L. Roan is an award-winning Orange County journalist who specializes in science and medicine. She served as a medical writer for the Los Angeles Times for more than two decades. Roan is the author of three books, including Ozone Crisis, which chronicled the Nobel Prize-winning discovery, at UC Irvine, of atmospheric ozone destruction by man-made gases. John Westcott, a noted Orange County historian and journalist, has written extensively about the area for the Orange County Register, and in several books, including Anaheim: City of Dreams. He also covered the city of Irvine and UC Irvine as a beat reporter for a large part of his 20-year career at the Register. Westcott currently teaches journalism as a adjunct professor at Fullerton College and Saddleback College. "
