About the Author

Twinkie Chan rocked the craft and fashion world in 2005 with her unique accessory designs, most noteably her food-themed scarves. She launched her website, www.TwinkieChan.com, with a dozen one-of-a-kind scarves and a couple of tater tot plush dolls. Since then, her work has developed a crafty cult following--there's nothing else quite like it out there. In 2010, Chan released Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies, which featured patterns for crocheting food-inspired fashion accessories like hats, mittens, scarves, and tissue-box cozies. Her designs have been featured in Crochet Today magazine, Giant Robot magazine, Glamour Italia, xoJane.com, the Huffington Post, MentalFloss.com, and HGTV's "Uncommon Threads." As a designer, she is highly sought after by companies such as Sanrio, major yarn brands such as Lion Brand Yarn and Lily's Sugar 'n Cream Yarn, and craft stores such as Michaels. Chan learned to crochet from her best friend's grandmother when she was ten years old, and she has always turned to crochet to make gifts for friends and family. She has a B.A. in English/Creative Writing from Stanford University, but after working in the publishing industry for ten years, she now crafts and crochets full-time.

AllFreeCrochet.com "Indulge in all your favorite foods without worrying about calories! Crochet a healthful snack such as the broccoli fridge magnet, or go hog wild and crochet a large donut floor pouf to rest your weary feet upon. Pie, cookies, ice cream, and even a TV dinner become cozies, pillows, and accessories you can use in your kitchen, bath, living room, and office. Yum!" Interweave Crochet
