About the Author

Nathalie Soussana is the author of several musical picture books, including Songs from the Vanilla Trail, Children's Africana Book Award-winner Songs in the Shade of the Cashew and Coconut Trees and Parents' Choice Gold Award-winner Songs from the Garden of Eden. She's also written several musicals, including � l'ombre de l'olivier, Romances de Paris, and Silence on tourne. B�atrice Alemagna has published more than 20 titles and received several prestigious prizes including a special mention for the prestigious Ragazzi Award sponsored by the Bologna International Children's Book Fair. In 2021 and 2022, she was shortlisted for the Hans Christian Andersen Award in Illustration.
