About the Author

Stephanie Vanderslice, MFA, PhD, is Associate Professor of Writing, University of Central Arkansas. She is also an Associate Editor of New Writing. Her previous publications include Stephanie Vanderslice & Kelly Ritter (eds), Can It Really Be Taught?: Resisting Lore in Creative Writing Pedagogy ( Portsmouth, NH: Heinemann, 2007) and articles in: College Composition and Communication; College English; Journal of Writing in Education; New Writing; and Profession.
