If you are interested in Maori proverbs, then this is the right book for you. The proverbs are given in Maori and their English translation. Where applicable, the background of the proverb is explained (e.g. when the meaning cannot be understood without understanding of iwi background or certain ceremonies). It's a great little book and very helpful for many different events and people.
