About the Author

Stephen O'Connor spent a lot of his childhood reading. He would read anything from cereal boxes to Agatha Christie. He has always loved reading mysteries and scary stories. Stephen began his career as an editor of children's books. Now he gets to write children's books! Aside from writing and reading, Stephen enjoys cooking, swimming and watching movies with his family. Annabel loves her job. Nothing makes her happier than making pictures and patterns, drawing characters, cutting, sticking and coloring in. She did her degree in Bristol back in the 90's and has since been illustrating everything from children's books and greeting cards to maps and packaging. She lives in deepest darkest Somerset in England with a house full of boys: a big one, some small ones, and a couple with waggy tails which is lots of muddy fun! She is bursting with ideas and gets very excited about working on new projects. She has a touch of the magpie about her and finds anything shiny almost irresistible. She isn't fond of a second class stamp or brushing her hair but loves a list and a second hand book shop. Drew Temperante is a producer, songwriter, and performer specializing in hip-hop, pop, and American roots music. In 2007 he graduated from McNally Smith College of Music with a degree in music production. Drew has cultivated experiences ranging from live sound to radio, and he loves to create music to accompany films, puppet shows, and sing-a-long books. Reviews

Homophones and homonyms are delightfully challenging, as this simple series attests. . . .Clear and colorful illustrations and upbeat lyrics keep the texts from getting clunky. The rhymes will grow on young listeners as they follow along and understand the distinctions between words that sound the same but have different meanings. Strongly consider for collections that need to update existing titles on homonyms and homophones.-- "School Library Journal"
