Steve Pope, a former editor of the Voice newspaper, is a major writer for Britain's biggest selling black newspaper, New Nation. Among a long list of journalistic 'credits' he caused Fleet Street outrage when he called fellow journos 'merchant bankers' while covering Tony Blair's state visit to South Africa. He has been nominated for many writing awards and Is also co-owner of Europe's largest black book publisher, The X Press.
