Eileen O'Hely is an Australian of Irish descent. She is the best-selling author of four previous Penny the Pencil books and currently lives in Sydney. Nicky Phelan is currently working as animation director in Brown Bag Films and has worked on the animation Give Up Yer Ould Sins, Crap Rap Too Big For Staneen as well as recent TV ads for GE Money and Citizen's Information.
