About the Author

J. N. "Jim" Whiddon, who has spent much of his career in the financial services industry, has owned and operated his own companies for more than thirty years. He hosted his own radio show for five years, including a stint with CNN Headline News in Dallas. He also has been often interviewed and quoted by national media outlets such as Fortune magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and CNBC. The Old School Advantage is Whiddon's fourth book, one that he prepared for by reading more than four hundred oth-er books for the purpose of research. His other published works are There for the Taking, Wealth Without Worry, and The Investing Revolutionaries. He earned his bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and a master of science from The American College in Philadelphia. Whiddon enjoys playing the guitar and all sports. He lives in Dallas with his wife, Nizie. They have four children, ages sixteen to twenty-three.
