Clement Clarke Moore was an American writer and professor
born in 1779. He is most known for his famous poem “A Visit from
St. Nicholas,” which later came to be known as “‘Twas the Night
Before Christmas.” Although there is some speculation on who
actually penned the poem, he is the most widely accepted
author.
A. E. Kennedy was an American illustrator who lived in New
York, creating artwork for numerous children’s books.
