About the Author

Dr Thomas A. Roesler, MD, is associate professor of child and family psychiatry at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. He is codirector of the Hasbro Children's Partial Hospital Program, a day treatment program for children with combined physical and emotional illness. Dr Carole Jenny, MD, MBA, FAAP, is professor of pediatrics, also at Brown University, director of the ChildSafe child protection program at Hasbro Children's Hospital, and chair of the Committee on Child Abuse of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has won numerous awards for her work in child abuse pediatrics.
