About the Author

Luca Dal Monte was born in Cremona in 1963. His books have been translated and read throughout the world. In its first Italian edition (entitled Ferrari Rex), Enzo Ferrari. The Definitive Biography, won the Selezione Bancarella Sport Prize and was a finalist for the "Motoring Book of the Year Award" promoted by the British Royal Automobile Club. The New York Times has recommended it as "the definitive biography of one of the giants of the automotive world". He is the author of numerous and successful non-fiction works including La Congiura degli Innocenti, published by Giorgio Nada Editore, a book examining the complex relationship between Bernie Ecclestone and Alfa Romeo in the second half of the 1970s. With regard to his fiction writing, he had also published a novel entitled La Scuderia and a collection of short stories, Belli e dannati. Vivere e morire nella Formula 1 degli anni 70. He was head of communications for Ferrari in the United States and Canada and for Maserati S.p.A Italia. He lives between Cremona, Milan and the United States.

A graduate in mechanical engineering, Lorenzo Ramaciotti was director general of Pininfarina's Studies and Research sector for about 20 years. Cars like the Maserati Quattroporte, Ferrari 550 Maranello, 360 Modena, F430, Scaglietti and also the dream car Enzo were all born under his management. Today he is responsible for the style of the entire Fiat Group Automobiles.

Cesare De Agostini is one of the best known Italian authors on motor sport much liked for his highly individual style, which is able to transmit such excitement. First a journalist and then an author of a multitude of books on the world of motor racing, his extensive list of successes include unforgettable titles on Tazio Nuvolari, Giuseppe Farina, Alberto Ascari and Clay Regazzoni.

Gianni Cancellieri is one of the best known Italian motor sport writers. Born in Mantua in 1934, he now lives and works in Milan. He has previously edited a number of the country's most important motoring and motor sport magazines, among them Autosprint and Ruoteclassiche. Cancellieri has written, contributed to and edited numerous books on Formula One and its drivers. For many years, he has been the supervising editor of the Giorgio Nada Editore series "Racing Lives", devoted to the great champions of the past. He is the author of Maserati All the cars (2015) and co-author of the official book Maserati. A century of history (2014).
