About the Author

Lou Antonelli was born in Medford, Massachusetts, in 1957, and grew up in Billerica and Rockland, Massachusetts, before attending Columbia University in New York City. He moved to Texas in 1985 and is currently managing editor of the Mount Pleasant Daily Tribune in Northeast Texas. He has won awards from the Texas Press Association in news, column, editorial and feature writing, as well as for community service. Since he started writing science fiction and fantasy short stories in 2002, he's been published 50 times in the US, UK, Australia and Canada. His Asimov's short story "A Rocket for the Republic" placed third in the annual Asimov's reader poll for 2006 in the short story category. Ten of his stories have been recognized as Honorable Mentions in The Year's Best Science Fiction published annually by St. Martin's Press. His web site is www.louantonelli.blogspot.com.
