Reviews

"Such a book is long overdue. David Philips (is) ... a consummate story teller, a cross etween Charles Kuralt and Vincent Price." -The New London Day|"Legendary Connecticut is lovely, and it is loving. Philips has a way with words, and he likes to tell a story. It's evident, and his appreciation for history is strong. Any Connecticut resident, ardent New Englander, sometime-weekender, history or folk-lore buff will appreciate Philips' effort." -The Lakeville Journal|"As you read about Coventry's eccentric preacher Lorenzo Dow or about the Bride's Brook legend in East Lyme, you realize that these stories will never go away or become outdated. They, along with the landscape of our region, are permanently etched into our human experience." -The Coventry Journal
