About the Author

Marshall Stewart Ball is a great thinker and teacher, born without the functional use of his voice, legs, and arms, who has inspired millions with his profound thinking. He uses words written on an alphabet board with precision and clarity for perfect inspiration. Since the age of five, he knew that he would teach love through listening, and with words. Marshall appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1999, 2000, and 2001, making his first book Kiss of God an instant bestseller. Translated into five languages, he has literally touched people worldwide. Marshall was also featured on CNN, Time Magazine, and People magazine. Today, at age thirty, Marshall continues to live with his parents Troy and Charlie Ball in Asheville, North Carolina, where his family moved in an effort to prolong his life. Marshall has never been in better health and continues to write with the goal of teaching. He is working on creating a public parkland that will unite words, art, and music in one setting called Tacirring. In recent years, Marshall has become close friends with Chris Martin, who says "Kiss of God . . . changed my life and I'm sure it will change yours too. He is responsible for the turn around in our attitude about life."

Reviews

" . . . if there is one thing that I have learned from Marshall, it is that economy of words is as, or even more powerful, than their abundance. I don't have his gift for succinct jewels of wisdom; I've barely even gotten going and I'm already on word eighty. By eighty Marshall will have changed someone's view of the world! Kiss of God . . . changed my life and I'm sure it will change yours too. He is responsible for the turn around in our attitude about life." --Chris Martin, lead singer Coldplay

"Marshall views himself as a teacher. In Kiss of God, he will teach you life's most important lesson: love. This is one 'textbook' that will surely leave you inspired and uplifted."--Jack Canfield, coauthor of Chicken Soup for the Soul series

"Some call him a boy genius. Others call him a prophet. One thing is certain about poet Marshall Ball: Anyone who has ever used the phrase 'simple but profound' doesn't know the meaning of that phrase until he or she reads Marshall's Kiss of God."--Ron Jaeger, editor Northwoods Journal
