About the Author

Andrew Bennett is Professor and Head of Department of English, University of Bristol. He previously taught in the University of Tampere, Finland and the University of Aalborg, Denmark. He has written widely on 19th and 20th century literature including: Romantic Poets and the Culture of Posterity (1999) and (with Nicholas Royle) Introduction to Literature, Criticism and Theory (1999).
