'This is a lovely pocket-sized guidebook with a wealth of
geological detail on places to visit in Iceland and with clear
information on specific sites and places of interest along the way.
It would be a welcome and affordable addition to anyone’s
bookshelf.'
The Open University Geological Society Journal.‘the book is highly
recommended for geo-tourists visiting Iceland, both for individual
travellers and for those participating in organized tours. As noted
on the back cover of the book, it is ‘a concise and authoritative
field guide to an exceptional natural laboratory’. The book is
essential for planning trips and during geoscience travels in
Iceland. It can be used by students, amateurs and professional
geologists, as well as by others interested in natural history.’
