Jessie Willcox Smith (1863 - 1935) was an American illustrator of periodicals and children's books. She is perhaps best known for her many fine covers for Good Housekeeping between 1917 and 1933.
She is one of the many fine illustrators to come from the Brandywine School of Howard Pyle.
Smith's glorious legacy of children's books include Rhymes of Real Children (1903), A Child's Garden of Verses (1905), The Seven Ages of Childhood (1909), Twas The Night Before Christmas (1912), Little Women (1915), The Water Babies (1916), At The Back of The North Wind (1919) and Heidi (1922).
