About the Author

Gerhard Richter is a German artist who lives and works in Cologne, Germany. Considered to be one of the most eminent artists of the present day, Richter's impressive career spans five decades. Exploring the medium of painting and its many facets, his work also incorporates other mediums such as photography and drawing. Richter has exhibited internationally, including a major retrospective, Panorama, at Tate Modern, London in 2012.
