"[Ulrich Baer] explores a side of Shanghai few of us have
encountered, with passion and wit." --David Barboza, Shanghai
Bureau Chief, New York Times
"Ulrich Baer's first collection of stories is just as unique and
original as it sounds. The special outsider-insider tone and
perspective gives us stories that take place in China, but the deep
insights Baer shares with us are not about a place or a culture but
about humanity itself." --Etgar Keret, author, The Nimrod
Flip-Out and Suddenly a Knock on the Door
