Reviews

Wendy VanHatten's latest addition to her Hidden Truths series, The Forger's Key, number five in the series, is her best yet in my opinion. Each of her offerings gets better and better. The writing is more refined, the story is smoother flowing, and it is always engaging. In fact, they are all hard to put down, keeping one moving along without tiring or losing interest. Marta, Clark, Ian, and the gang are back with some new characters. Loved the newspaper gal who was pure fun and spunk, and maybe, just maybe, someone else got into her car instead of Maxine ... just so I can enjoy her again in the next installment! More romance seems likely too after all the intrigue cools at bit. I thoroughly enjoyed reading them all, but this one is best so far. Terry Minion Marta, the main character in these novels, is at it again with her traveling, her cat, and her problems. Not to mention the bad guys who keep following her. I'm not sure how she can be so clueless and yet so lucky, but that's why I love her. There's enough suspense and twists to keep readers engaged in the action and with the characters. I really wasn't sure how this one was going to end ... until it did. Bev M
