About the Author

Since the early 1980s, Fernando's award-winning illustrations have appeared in Vogue, Playboy, El Pais, Letras Libres, Gentleman, and many other publications, and his off-center style and dark sense of humor are similarly evident in his numerous book cover designs, for Spanish publishing houses and the OUP. He has had 4 books of his work published in his home country, where he has been exhibiting in solo and collective shows since 1984. However, thanks to a rapidly growing online fanbase, his paintings are beginning to receive due recognition. A painting from his 'Vanitas' series will also feature on a Roads designer classic publication of Dracula, ISBN 9781909399341 in September 2014, with a view to furthering awareness of his work.
