About the Author

Stephen Swartz grew up in Kansas City where he was an avid reader of science fiction and began emulating his favorite authors. Even when he is not writing science fiction or fantasy, his stories still feature exotic lands, foreign languages, and strangers lost in strange places. Swartz is now a Professor of Epic* English and has taught writing at universities in five states. He makes his home in Oklahoma, where he can be found working on the next novel evenings and weekends. He does not actually own any dragons although the neighbors have heard noises.
