About the Author

Alan P. Rossiter is President of Rossiter & Associates, aprocess improvement consulting company specializing in industrialenergy efficiency. Clients include ExxonMobil, Natural ResourcesCanada, Syncrude Canada, ConocoPhillips, Sasol, LyondellBasell,Valero and Hess. He has more than 30 years of process engineeringand management experience and more than 60 publications includingthree books. He has a PhD in chemical engineering from theUniversity of Cambridge, is a chartered engineer (UK) and aregistered professional engineer (Texas), and was the 2010 Chair ofthe South Texas Section of the AIChE. Beth Jones was for several years the worldwide energy manager forLyondellBasell Industries, after various positions in processengineering management and optimization in her 25 years within LYBand its predecessor companies. She retired in 2013 to enjoy newadventures a transfer to England with her husband and asubsequent invitation to work on this book, her first, with Alan.She is a Certified Energy Manager.
