About the Author

Writer-editor Erica Platter, co-founder of the Platter Wine Guide, and photographer-designer Clinton Friedman specialise in documenting the multi-cultural flavours and distinctive produce of their home province, KwaZulu-Natal. Their previous books, East Coast Tables and East Coast Tables: The Inland Edition, won World Gourmand South Africa awards. Contributing author Devi Sankaree Govender is South Africa's best-known investigative reporter, working for Carte Blanche on M-Net; also a columnist for the Sunday Times. She describes herself as a living breathing eating stereotype because of her love of curry.
