Gill Scott is a writer whose wild imagination and clear perception are her craft! She draws from a cherished habit of journaling and a twenty year nursing career that evolved into research publication, leadership training and coaching. All great reasons for browsing stationery and bookstores. Her bittersweet experience of a hollow marriage and sabotaged ministry leadership culminated in divorce and re-invention. It took this devastating life crisis and the encouragement of her friends and community to bring her stifled creative gift to the fore. Gill serves as a founding partner on the John Maxwell Team. She's a certified coach and speaker in Kary Oberbrunner's Igniting Souls Tribe and lives with her two resilient young adult children in the north of England. Gill's associated coaching programmes are at www.disentanglinggenius.com.
This book is not your average, run of the mill self-help book. It
is quirky creative and imaginative. In this extremely personal work
the author takes the reader on a journey of self-discovery that
follows the tracks of her own harrowing experiences. Deeply
emotional, the book has a compelling and flowing style that is easy
to read. Disregarding convention, it wends its way whimsically from
one point to the next, making frequent stops to allow for creative
expression. This book is refreshingly unpolished; perfectly
competent, the author simply expresses herself in its pages without
worry for how her expression will be received by others. She gives
of herself without concern and that's ultimately is its point. This
work is an encouragement to any who have felt lost, isolated, or
suppressed in life to be happy with who they are and what they have
to give with a freedom that the author herself has at long last
found. Tim King Leadership
This book is quirky, poetic, and a fascinating alternative to your
normal "how-to" motivational book. Gill manages to tell truth to
her readers through her intricately woven storytelling. Teri

I find Gill's book to be courageously written, and a gift and a joy
to read. Her voice is unique, refreshing and poetic; and her
writing style is unlike anything I have encountered before. Her
imagination is evident even in how the words are laid out on the
page. She makes me feel like an artist in a studio, even though I
am the furthest thing from it in reality. Through her words, I can
smell the paint on the palette and hear the brushes swirling on the
canvas! Jo
I love the playful perspectives Gill has revealed in her book that
balance humanity's struggles with a clear message of hope. I
immediately related to the cry of the entangled soul of "I don't
know where I belong" and saw the thread with Gil's counter
statement of "reposition for relevance". Her weave of ideas keep
you searching for more nuggets of truth. The writing is rich in
imagery, full of inspiration, and offers a practical approach to
transformation. The seven knots she defines help you to focus on
your personal area of desired change. The introduction is what
grabbed my delight, as Gill certainly has a twinkle in her writing,
a way of showing her joy and compassion all in the same sentence.
Yes, yes, I needed to be salvaged, recycled and renewed! (And I
needed to smile while doing it!) I skipped right to the
Displacement knot, "I don't know where I belong" and began my
journey. I hope for others to do the same, as they will find a
creative genius guiding them in the transformation. I highly
recommend this author and her books! A Brainard
In Gill Scott, I feel like I've found a kindred soul. She has a
very poetic style of writing that stirs your soul, wakes it up from
slumber, and makes you aware of many ways your life can be tied up
in knots... she shares from her own life and experience, and stirs
up the creative embers in your soul to take another look at the
knots and chaos, and seek to unravel them, rather than try to cut
out the knots and start over... every thread is precious... she
relates to the human condition and points in a direction that is
filled with hope and life... a must read for those who feel their
life is one big tangled mess! Her book even includes pages at the
end for creatively working out your own tangles...Dvora
