Wales, although mostly mountain and valleys country, has ideal
cycling paths. These 16 cycle trails count among the best in
Britain, quite possibly the world, for where else can you cycle
traffic-free from golden beaches to high rocky mountains in a few
short miles; past medieval strongholds, through dappled woodland,
along tidal estuaries, and over, under, across and around
structures and buildings of true class and innovation.
These are family friendly cycle routes and can be ridden safely by
even the most inexperienced cyclist, but they can be enjoyed by all
ages and abilities, including the mature cyclist. This book is
about the joy of cycling and the opportunity cycling provides to
open up a view of the world.
Phil Horsley has three published books on cycling in Snowdonia,
Anglesey and Llŷn.
