About the Author

Michael Baker's interest in the Chinese arts began with a study of Leong-Fu style Kung Fu and T'ai Chi Ch'uan which took him on two tours of mainland China in 1978 and 1980. During those tours he met traditional herbalists and acupuncturists and became inspired by the Chinese holistic approach to health. On his return he studied at The College of Traditional Acupuncture, becoming a member of faculty at CTA in 2001. Four years ago he was invited to join the faculty of the The Acupuncture Academy (TAA). He now divides his time between teaching at TAA and practicing acupuncture in a multidiscipline practice. He remains uplifted by the knowledge that Five Element Acupuncture lives on.
