About the Author

Kristoffel Lieten is an anthropologist and senior lecturer at the Faculty of Social & Behavioral Sciences at the Amsterdam School of Social Science Research of the University of Amsterdam. He is also the chairperson of the Child Labour Research Foundation (Irewoc). Ben White is Professor of Rural Sociology at the Institute of Social Studies, the Hague, and also Professor in Social Sciences at the University of Amsterdam. He has edited and contributed to two volumes on child labour.
