About the Author

Kathryn Ferry is an independent historian and author. She has a PhD in Architectural History from the University of Cambridge and has served as Conference Secretary to the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain and Senior Architectural Adviser to the Victorian Society. In addition to writing, she frequently gives lectures and appears on television and radio to discuss architecture, design and social history.
