About the Author

Professional librarian of many years standing, Ian Stringer is currently with the Barnsley Metropolitan Council. His experience covers the whole spectrum of library work from Headquarters to Branch Operations, but his favourite aspect of library duties is the travelling or mobile van services. Ian is also the Editor of Service Point, the journal of the Branch & Mobile Libraries Group of the Library Association.
