About the Author

Wesley J. Erwin is married to Debby and is the dad of two sons: Wyatt and Jordan. He is a licensed counselor and holds a doctorate in Counseling and Human Development from the University of Iowa. He enjoys canoeing and camping and has canoed frequently in the Boundary Waters and other wilderness areas. He and his family live in Shoreview, Minnesota. Native to California, Kathie Kemp roamed the High Sierras wilderness from a very young age. Her love of the outdoors continues uninterrupted years later as a designer, illustrator and fine artist focusing on the natural world. Since graduating from the University of California, San Diego, Kathie has had a camera in one hand and a paintbrush in the other.
