Introducing a brand new large format Leporello from American artist Dustin Harbin.
Dustin Harbin is well known in the alternative comics scene for his Diary Comics series published by Koyama Press. Dustin's work has also appeared inCasanova, Seconds and the Hic and Hoc Illustrated Journal of Humor. He lives in North Carolina in the United States, just east of the region formed when the ur-continents of Baltica and Laurentia collided, throwing up the Appalachian Mountains near the beginning of the Devonian Period. His favorite dinosaur is - of course - the Stegosaurus.
A comics author and illustrator, Harbin has lavished the subjects
of his delightful fold-out booklet with the kind of vibrant detail
I remember longing for in the dinosaur books I read as a kid. […]
whether enjoyed as a fun browse, a handy reference tool, or wall
art, this is a work that invites you to gaze at it again and
again.
—American Scientist
It’s a gorgeous parade of over 100 meticulously researched and
rendered dinosaurs, simply
marching on and on as the leporello unfolds: the tallest, longest,
smallest, shortest, – they’re all here. There might not be every
single known dinosaur depicted here, but it’s as close as it gets,
and exquisitely, impressively so.
—Comics Alliance
Whichever is your favourite and however you choose to enjoy the
book (it can be read as book, displayed on a mantlepiece or hung as
an art print) you will love gazing at the array of dinosaurs that
Dustin has lovingly brought back to life as they leap, crawl, run,
fly, swim and slither towards extinction.
—Inky Goodness
It’s probably going to be a hit with anyone from eight to
eighty.
—Design Week
It is a visual story that children who love dinosaurs are going to
enjoy as they scour each illustration for dinosaurs they know, and
learn about dinosaurs they don’t. […] this infographic book is a
real treat for children and adults who love to learn about
dinosaurs.
—New York Journal of Books
