Takashi Iijima was born in 1973 in Fukushima Prefecture. He took his first steps toward becoming an artist at a very young age, when he took up scribbling. After watching a special program called "The Human Body" on Japan Broadcasting Co. (NHK, Japan's biggest public broadcaster), he realized that computers could provide a means of expression and he turned to the world of computer graphics. After completing his studies at Tokai University, he entered a company called Shadow Entertainment, which produced "The Human Body" (Jintai in Japanese). He worked in computer graphics for six years. The monthly magazine "CG World" serially published his "The Human Body" writings. After leaving the company, he began freelancing and now works as an art director in video game production.
